By placing an order with Bay Prints you agree to the following terms. We've written them plainly — no fine print, no surprises.
Terms of service
1. About Bay Prints
Bay Prints is a fine art printing studio based in Hout Bay, Cape Town, operating under Linnea Frank Photography (Pty) Ltd. We produce archival fine art prints on professional-grade papers using a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 printer.
All orders are processed and fulfilled by us directly. We are not a print-on-demand service — every order is handled personally.
2. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase a custom-made product. Your order is confirmed once payment is received. After checkout, you must email your photo file to info@bayprints.co.za with your order number — production cannot begin until we have your file.
We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order if we determine we cannot fulfil it to our standard — for example, if the submitted file is too low resolution and no acceptable alternative exists.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely at checkout. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time — changes do not affect orders already placed and paid for.
4. Your image — ownership and responsibility
By submitting a file, you confirm that you own the rights to the image or have permission to reproduce it in print form. You accept full responsibility for ensuring the image does not infringe any third-party copyright, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights.
Bay Prints will not knowingly reproduce images that appear to be used without authorisation, and reserves the right to refuse any order on these grounds without explanation.
We will never use your image for any purpose other than producing your order. Your files are stored securely and treated with complete confidentiality.
5. Returns, reprints, and refunds
Because every print is made to order, we do not offer refunds or returns for change of mind. If your print arrives damaged or has a quality issue on our end, we will reprint at no charge. Please refer to our Return and Refund Policy for full details.
6. Delivery
We deliver within the greater Cape Town area only. Studio collection in Hout Bay is available by appointment. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for full details.
7. Limitation of liability
Bay Prints is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or services. Our total liability in any circumstance is limited to the value of the order in question.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights under South African consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act (No. 68 of 2008).
8. Website and content
All content on bayprints.co.za — including photographs, text, and design — is the property of Linnea Frank Photography (Pty) Ltd and may not be reproduced without permission. We make every effort to ensure product descriptions and prices are accurate, but reserve the right to correct errors.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
