We frame this way because we believe it's the most beautiful presentation for fine art prints — the mount creates breathing room around the image and is the standard used by galleries worldwide. Your print is produced at the full selected size; the mount sits around it, so the overall frame is slightly larger. This is especially striking with deckled-edge papers, where the natural torn edge floats within the white border.
